Montecito Sequoia Lodge is an award-winning, all-inclusive, family-friendly lodge, located in the Giant Sequoia National Monument on National Forest Service land, and inside the gates of Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks.

Founded over 50 years ago, our rustic year-round lodge is on 40 acres of Sequoia National Forest land. At an altitude of 7,400 feet, Montecito is surrounded by the grandeur of Sequoia & Kings Canyon, with easy access to the most popular sights within both parks.

Our property features a small private lake exclusively for our guests, offers stunning mountain views of the Great Western Divide, while being located only minutes away from the magnificient Giant Sequoia Groves for which these parks are famous.

There are many great species of wildlife to look for in Sequoia National Park. Black Bears are relatively easy to see early in the mornings and other mammals like

Mountain Lions and Bobcats are in the park but are much harder to find.

There are also hundreds of species of birds to be seen in the National park, such as Belted Kingfishers, American Dippers and many species of Woodpecker.

The General Sherman Tree is Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) and famous as the world’s largest tree, measured by volume, it stands 275 feet (83 m) tall, and is over 36 feet (11 m) in diameter.
