The White Fawn Lodge is located in the Heart of the Hiawatha National Forest on Federal Forest Highway 13. Located only 13 miles south of Lake Superior and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and also close to many other area attractions, Big Springs, Eben Ice caves , Numerous waterfalls and Hiawatha National Forest.

The Hiawatha National forest is home to some great wildlife big and small. Some of the mammals you might encounter here are Black Bears and Grey Wolf and on the smaller side some of the birds here include Gyrfalcon and King Rail.
